The categories and questions included in bridal jeopardy are designed to test the knowledge of the bride-to-be and her guests with everything wedding related. These categories and questions can be very specific to the bride and groom getting married or more general.

How To Play Bridal Shower Jeopardy

Bridal Jeopardy is a blast to play and really quite easy to setup as well! The following steps will give you a simple break down of how to play the game.

Divide Guests Into Teams

Depending on how many guests you have you can divide them into two to three teams. Every team needs to have a team captain. So after your teams are created instruct them to select one person as the captain.

Ask Questions

Just like in traditional Jeopardy – the game host will ask questions from a chosen category worth a specific amount of points. The first team to hit the buzzer with the correct answer earns those points. If they get the question wrong, the other team gets the opportunity to answer the question.

Keep Score

You’ll need to keep track of each team’s score while you play. Using a whiteboard or a simple blank sheet of paper works great to tally up each team’s points.

Play Through All The Categories And Questions

Bridal Jeopardy continues until all the categories and questions have been played. Whichever team has the most points at the end of the game is the winner!

How To Set Up Bridal Shower Jeopardy

Set up the game area for bridal jeopardy. You’ll need to arrange chairs or stools for the teams to sit on while they play. Set up the game board and scorecard on a table. Give each team a buzzer or bell.

How To Make Bridal Jeopardy Game

To make a Bridal Jeopardy game, follow these steps:

Choose Your Categories

Decide on which categories you want to include in the game. Such as bride, groom, couple’s relationship, wedding traditions, honeymoon destinations, wedding planning, wedding gifts, wedding food and drink, wedding etiquette, and or wedding music. It’s best to choose 4 to 5 categories.

Write Out Your Questions

For each category, you will need to write questions worth different amounts of points. Using point values like 100, 200, 300, 400, and 500 is best. The value of the questions ranges from fewer points for the easy questions to the most points for the difficult questions. Include 5 to 6 questions for each category.

Create A Game Board

If you are crafty there are several examples of Bridal Jeopardy game boards that you can find online.

When making a bridal jeopardy game board you can really get as creative as you wish.

Draw or print out a game board with your chosen categories and point values. You can even use a whiteboard or a poster board to draw the game with markers.

My favorite way to make a bridal jeopardy game board is using a trifold poster board.

Across the top of the poster board write your categories.

Under each category glue the envelopes below. Each envelope should have within it a bridal jeopardy question. On the outside of the envelope write the number of points that question is worth.

The toilet paper game is a fun and interactive game in which guests are divided up into teams and given rolls of toilet paper to craft a wedding dress out of on one of their teammates.

How Do You Win The Toilet Paper Wedding Dress Game?

The winner of the toilet paper wedding dress game is determined by the bride-to-be.

After each team has completed their wedding dress on one of their teammates, the bride-to-be selects her favorite toilet paper wedding dress!

What Do You Need To Play The Toilet Paper Bridal Shower Game?

• Rolls of toilet paper
• Scotch Tape
• Timer (You can use your phone for this)
• Prizes for the winning team

How Do You Play The Toilet Paper Bridal Shower Game?

• To play this game you will need to divide your bridal shower guests into teams of four or five people.

• Give each team 4 to 6 rolls of toilet paper and some Scotch tape.

• Teams are instructed to have one person be the model and wear the toilet paper dress.

• Set a timer – For 10 to 20 minutes. We prefer 10 minutes as it keeps things moving quickly, but it really is a personal preference.

• Teams quickly begin to create a wedding dress made out of toilet paper and Scotch tape on their designated team member.

• After the timer goes off you can either have each team member wearing the toilet paper dress act like they are walking a runway in front of the bride-to-be to determine the winner. Or, you can have the bride-to-be walk around to each team and then make her final decision.

• The team that crafted the toilet paper dress that the bride likes best is the winner!

Toilet Paper Dress Game Instructions

STEP 1

Get all necessary items to play the toilet paper bridal shower game.

• Toilet paper (the amount to purchase is based upon how many guests will be at the shower). Keep in mind you will want to have 4 to 6 rolls per team.
• Scotch tape (if you have 6 teams you will want 6 rolls of scotch tape)
• Timer (you can use your phone as the timer)
• Bridal Shower Prizes for the winning team (if you have teams of 4 you will need 4 prizes for this game)

STEP 2

Give instructions to the guests at the bridal shower.

Example of what you can say:

“We are going to play the toilet paper bridal shower game! I will divide you up into teams of 4. You will be given 6 rolls of toilet paper and one roll of Scotch tape.

You will have 10 minutes to make a toilet paper wedding dress on one of your team members using only the toilet paper and tape. You’ll need to select who the toilet paper wedding dress model on your team will be.

At the end of the 10 minutes, the bride-to-be will choose her favorite wedding dress. Whatever team created the dress that she chooses is the winner!”

Bridal Shower Toilet Paper Dress Game

STEP 3

Divide The Bridal Shower Guests Into Teams.

Depending on the size of the bridal shower, you will do teams of 4 to 5 people per team.

STEP 4

Give Each Team Toilet Paper And Scotch Tape.

Provide 4 to 6 rolls of toilet paper and 1 roll of Scotch tape to each team. We like giving out 6 rolls of toilet paper just so it is less likely teams will run out of toilet paper for the wedding dress.

STEP 5

Set Your Timer.

You can use your phone as a timer or use a traditional timer. Either way, set the timer for 10 to 20 minutes.

STEP 6

Have The Bride-To-Be Choose The Winner.

After the timer goes off, have the bride-to-be look at each toilet paper wedding dress and decide which one is her favorite.

What Is The Ring Game?

The ring game is a fun and interactive bridal shower game in which your guests are each given a plastic ring to wear throughout the shower.

Guests are provided with specific words that are not allowed to be said during the bridal shower.

If they hear another guest mention one of those specific words, that guest gets to take the other guest’s plastic ring.

The guest who has the most rings at the end of the shower wins this bridal shower ring game.

What You Need To Play The Bridal Shower Ring Game

• A sign with instructions including the designated words that guests are not allowed to say.

• A bowl of plastic rings.

There are several different ring options that you can choose from for this game. However, this set of plastic rings is our favorite.

These plastic rings are colorful and adjustable making them a good option for adults as well as kids!

How Do You Play The Ring Game At A Bridal Shower?

This ring game is a ton of fun and super easy to set up and play.

STEP 1

Print out the put a ring on it bridal shower sign.

STEP 2

Place all plastic rings in a bowl.

STEP 3

Instruct each guest as they arrive to take a plastic ring from the bowl. Inform guests of the rules of the game – including the designated words that they are not to say.

STEP 4

Have fun with your guests playing this put a ring on it bridal shower game!

STEP 5

At the end of the shower have each guest count the number of rings that they have collected. The guest with the most rings wins a prize!

How Many Bridal Shower Games Should Be Played?

The number of bridal shower games you choose to play at a shower really comes down to personal preference and the length of the shower.

As a rule of thumb, we recommend playing 2 to 4 games during a bridal shower.

#1 – Guess Their Age

For this unique bridal shower game, you will need to get assistance from the mother of the bride and also the mother of the groom.

What you do is ask each of them to gather 5 to 10 photos of the bride and groom at different ages in their life ranging from birth to current.

Number each of the photos and place them around the bridal shower.

Give each guest a slip of paper and pencil to write down their guesses for how old the bride and groom are in each of the photos.

The guest with the most correct answer wins!

If you’d prefer to order “Guess Their Age” playing cards instead of using blank paper, these ones are super cute and work perfectly for this game.

Interactive Bridal Shower Games

#2 – Put A Ring On It

This is a fun and unique bridal shower game, it’s called “Put A Ring On It”.

As your guests arrive, instruct each of them to take a plastic ring.

Let them know that throughout the shower they are not to say “bride” or other wedding related word(s) of your choice. If they hear someone say “bride” or the word(s) you’ve chosen, they can take the ring from that guest.

This game is a lot of fun, it’s interactive, and is played throughout the entirety of the shower.

As the shower is concluding, you will ask the guests to count how many rings they each have. The guest who has the most rings at the end of the bridal shower wins this unique bridal shower game!

Unique Things To Do At A Bridal Shower

#3 – Toilet Paper Game

If you are looking for a creative and competitive bridal shower game, you’ll love this toilet paper dress game.

To play this game, you will need to divide your guests into teams.

Depending on the size of the bridal shower you will have different numbers of teams each consisting of 3 to 4 people.

Each team is given 5 to 6 rolls of toilet paper that they must use to create a wedding dress on one of their team members – so each team must choose one person on their team that will be wearing the toilet paper wedding dress.

Let your guests know that they will have 10 minutes to create a wedding dress out of toilet paper on their teammate.

Set the timer for 10 minutes.

At the end of the 10 minutes, the bride-to-be will select which toilet paper wedding dress she likes the best. Whomever she chooses, that team is the winner!

With this “Guess Who Bride Or Groom” game guests must “guess who” the statement on their playing card is referring to. Is it the bride or the groom? The guest who gets the most correct answers wins this bridal shower game.

#6 – How Well Do You Know The Bride

We love this “How Well Do You Know The Bride” game because it allows guests to learn a little something fun about the bride. Ask the bride 10 to 15 questions before the shower. At the shower, guests are then asked to fill out their answers to each of the “how well do you know the bride” questions. The guest who gets the most answers correct wins.

This Bridal Bingo game is a great way to add some interaction to the gift opening process. Guests are given a bingo card and must fill in the blank spaces with what gifts they believe the bride will receive. Guests are given a “What’s On Your Phone” playing card with a series of items that might be on their phones. Each item on is worth a different amount of points. If they have the mentioned item they need to mark it off on their playing card. The guest who has the most points at the end of the game wins!

Each guest is given a “What’s In Your Purse” game card with a variety of items that might be in their purse. Every item is worth a different number of points. Guests must search in their purses for each item on the playing card. The guest who has the most points at the end of the game wins.

#10 – What Did The Groom Say

This is always an entertaining game to play. The groom is asked a series of questions about the bride and their upcoming nuptials before the bridal shower. During the shower, the host reads the same questions to the bride that were asked of the groom. The bride must then guess what her groom’s answers to each of the questions were. #11 – Who Am I

Each guest is given a “Who Am I” notecard and must write a couple sentences describing a memory that they have shared with the bride. Place all the notecards into a box. The bride or bridal shower host must read each of the cards aloud. After each card is read, the bride must guess “who” wrote each notecard. If the bride gets the answer wrong, that guest wins.

#12 – Date Night Jar

This date jar wedding shower game is a lot of fun. It not only is a good bridal shower activity but the date jar also ends up being a sweet keepsake for the bride and groom.

To make a date jar, you will need the following:

• 1 Jar
• Blanks slips of paper or popsicle sticks
• Pens or markers

Each guest must write out a date idea for the bride and groom on either a slip of paper or a popsicle stick and place it into the jar.

At the end of the shower, the bride is gifted with the date jar. The jar is filled with fun date ideas that she and her future hubby can enjoy going on together!

#13 – Wedding Ring Toss

This game is fun and easy to put together – all you need is some empty wine bottles and rings to toss.

You can spray paint the empty wine bottles to match the decor at the shower, and then put a number on each of the bottles.

Divide your guests into teams and give each team member 5 to 10 rings.

Each guest will then toss a ring – trying to land it on the wine bottle.

After each team completes their turn, add up the number of points they received. The team with the most points wins!

So having a what’s in your purse icebreaker game is a great way to have some fun and help guests to connect and get to know one another throughout the shower.

How Do You Play What’s In Your Purse Game?

Playing the What’s In Your Purse game is really quite simple and a lot of fun.

To play the What’s In Your Purse Game you will need to create a list of a variety of items that people may have “in their purse” or purchase What’s In Your Purse game cards.

If you are creating your own questions, you will need to separate the items you come up with into different categories.

Each category is worth a different amount of points.

The less likely you think it will be that someone will have a certain item in their purse – make that item worth more points.

• 5 Points

The host will begin by passing out a What’s In Your Purse game card to each of the guests.

On the game card there are a series of items that one “might have in their purse”.

Each item on the list is worth a different amount of points.

The host will read off each item on the game card aloud.

While doing so guests will look in their purses to see if they have the mentioned item on the list.

If a guest has one of the items in their purse that was mentioned – that guest will put a mark next to that item on their playing card.

After going through each of the items on the game card, guests will add up their points.

The guest who has the most points wins this bridal shower game!

Version #1 What Did the Groom Say – The Guests Play

To play version #1 you will need the following:

• What Did The Groom Say Game Cards
• Pens or pencils
• Prize for the winner

You can purchase these cute What Did The Groom Say game cards that have several questions on them.

At the bridal shower you will hand out a what did the groom say game card to each of the guests.

Guests will fill out their answers to the questions.

The guest who gets the most correct answers wins!

This game is a blast, it gives guests the chance to learn a few fun facts about the bride but also get creative in thinking about what the groom said.

Version #2 What Did The Groom Say – The Bride Plays (Our Fave!!)

This version of what did the groom say is our favorite way to play this bridal shower game.

I’ve thrown a lot of bridal showers over the years and this version of what did the groom say is one that still gets talked about because it was such a fun surprise for the bride-to-be.

Instead of guests guessing the answers to what the groom said about his bride, you will be asking the bride herself.

When done correctly, this version does take a little more thought and effort and there are that steps must be completed BEFORE the bridal shower, but it is totally worth it!

And no worries, we are going to cover everything you need to make this version of what did the groom say game a success!

Step #1 Put together a list of questions to ask the groom about the bride.

We’ve found this game to be the most fun when the bride does not know that her friends are meeting with the groom privately to ask him these questions.

If she does find out or needs to know, make sure that the groom is sworn to secrecy so that he does not reveal any of the questions that were asked to him before the bridal shower.

Asking a variety of different style questions seems to work the best for this what did the groom say bridal shower game.

Step #2 Meet With The Groom

Meet with the groom before the bridal shower and record him answering the questions that you ask.

This can be easily accomplished with the use of a smartphone.

Simply ask a question like “What shoe size does the bride wear?“.

Turn on the camera and record his response.

During the shower – you will play the recorded answers of the groom on a television.

The bride will love this surprise!

How To Play What Did The Groom Say – Version #2

Step 1 – Have the bride sit down by the television that will be used to display the groom’s answers.

Step 2 – Inform the bride and the guests that you had the opportunity to meet with the groom and ask him a series of questions about the bride…

It’s now the bride’s job to guess what his answers to the questions were!

If the bride is up to the challenge you can spice things up by informing her that she will need to chew one piece of bubblegum for every missed question.

This can add some extra fun to the game!

When you think about it, you’ve asked the groom 10 to 15 questions. So if she doesn’t get several of the questions correct that can really be a mouthful of gum!

Step 3 – Read the question aloud to the bride that you had asked her groom.

Step 4 – The bride answers the question with what she thinks her groom said.

Step 5 – You then play the video of the groom answering the same question.

If she gets the question correct she doesn’t have to chew a piece of gum but if she misses she does.

This game is meant to be fun and lighthearted.

It is a good way to see how well the groom knows his bride as well as how well the bride can figure out how the groom will answer the questions.

Again, this has been an all-time favorite at several bridal showers.

It is something fun and special that the bride-to-be will always remember.

He Said She Said Bridal Shower Game

No bridal shower is complete without a few fun bridal shower games and this Guess Who Bride Or Groom game is always a great one to add to the list.

To play Guess Who Bride Or Groom, each guest is given a playing card with a series of questions on it.

Guests must “guess who the bride or the groom” the statement is referring to.

The guest with the most correct answers wins this bridal shower game.
